Mobile crane

A mobile crane drives to the site on its own wheels and then lowers its outriggers — steel legs with broad pads that spread the weight and keep the machine steady while it lifts. The boom is telescopic and slides out in sections, and the further the hook reaches from the base, the less the crane is allowed to lift.
