Land Rover Defender

The Land Rover Defender was first built in 1948 as a utility vehicle for British farmers and the military. The original Series I borrowed its chassis design from the Willys Jeep, but the body was made from aluminum because steel was rationed in post-war Britain. The Defender stayed in production for 67 years before the original ended in 2016. The new Defender launched in 2020 with a modern unibody design while keeping the boxy silhouette.
