Cute robot

The word robot comes from the Czech word robota, meaning forced labor. Playwright Karel Čapek first used it in his 1920 play R.U.R. to describe artificial workers. The first real industrial robot, Unimate, started working on a General Motors assembly line in 1961. Today there are over 3 million industrial robots worldwide.
