Soccer ball
The classic soccer ball pattern of black pentagons and white hexagons is called a truncated icosahedron — 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons stitched together into a near-perfect sphere. This design was first used for the 1970 World Cup in Mexico (the Adidas Telstar) so the ball would show up better on black-and-white TV. A regulation ball weighs 410-450 grams and must be 68-70 cm in circumference. The 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico will be the first with 48 teams. Coloring page of a soccer ball.
