Basketball slam dunk

A slam dunk requires a player to leap high enough to push the ball directly through the 3.05-meter hoop. The move was considered showboating for decades and was banned in NCAA games from 1967 to 1976. The NBA Slam Dunk Contest has been held since 1984, with Michael Jordan's free-throw line dunk in 1988 widely regarded as the greatest ever.
