Halloween skeleton

An adult human skeleton is usually counted as 206 bones, but a newborn starts with around 300 — many of them fuse together during childhood, which is why the count drops. The longest and strongest is the femur in the thigh, and the smallest is the stapes in the middle ear, roughly three millimetres long.
