Father's Day

Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The holiday was first proposed by Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington, in 1910, inspired by a Mother's Day sermon. It took until 1972 for President Nixon to sign it into permanent national observance.
