International Space Station
The International Space Station orbits Earth at about 400 kilometers altitude, traveling 28,000 kilometers per hour. One full orbit takes roughly 90 minutes, so the crew sees 16 sunrises and sunsets every day. The station has been continuously inhabited since November 2000 by astronauts from NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, JAXA, and CSA. End to end it spans 109 meters — about the length of an American football field including the end zones — and its solar arrays generate up to 90 kilowatts of power.
