Princess in a ball gown

Medieval European dresses from the 1400s featured floor-length skirts, fitted bodices with lacing, and wide bell sleeves that could drape past the hands. Noblewomen often wore flower wreaths or circlets instead of heavy crowns for everyday occasions. The layered fabric created sweeping silhouettes that used up to 10 meters of material per gown.
