Forest
Forests cover about 31% of the Earth's land surface and are home to more than 80% of all terrestrial species of animals, plants, and insects. A single large tree can produce enough oxygen for two people to breathe for a year. The tallest trees on Earth are coast redwoods in California, reaching over 115 meters. Forest floors are busy recycling factories — fungi, bacteria, and insects break down fallen leaves and dead wood, returning nutrients to the soil for new growth. This forest scene shows three trees along a winding path with mushrooms, wildflowers, and a bird on a branch. Printable coloring page of a peaceful woodland path.
