Centaur

The centaur from Greek mythology is half human and half horse, said to roam the mountains of Thessaly in northern Greece. Most centaurs in the myths are wild and quick-tempered, but Chiron stands apart as the wise mentor who taught the heroes Heracles, Achilles, and Asclepius. Chiron's role survives in modern stories — he runs Camp Half-Blood in the Percy Jackson series.
