Bigfoot

Bigfoot, also called Sasquatch, is a North American cryptid most associated with the Pacific Northwest. The name was coined in 1958 by a Northern California newspaper after large tracks were found at a logging site in Humboldt County. The Patterson-Gimlin film shot in 1967 became the most famous purported footage and is still studied today. Salish and other First Nations peoples have related folk traditions going back centuries.
