Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty stands 93 meters tall including its pedestal on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. France gifted it to the United States in 1886 to celebrate the centennial of American independence. The copper skin is only 2.4 mm thick — about the thickness of two pennies — and originally appeared reddish-brown before oxidizing to its iconic green patina over 20 years. Her torch was rebuilt in 1986 with gold leaf over copper. The seven rays on her crown represent the seven continents. Printable coloring page of the Statue of Liberty.
