Notre-Dame de Paris coloring page
Notre-Dame de Paris is a Gothic cathedral on the Île de la Cité in central Paris. Construction began in 1163 and lasted nearly 200 years. The twin towers stand 69 meters tall and the great rose windows on the north and south transepts are nearly 13 meters across. The spire and roof were destroyed by fire in April 2019; after a five-year restoration the cathedral reopened to the public on December 8, 2024. Flying buttresses around the apse transfer the roof's weight outward, letting the walls stay thin enough for the huge rose windows.
