Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace has been the London residence of the British monarch since Queen Victoria moved in in 1837. The palace has 775 rooms across the State, semi-State, royal and household apartments. The east-front balcony, part of the 1847-1849 east wing addition, was first used for a public appearance in 1851 and now hosts royal occasions. The Royal Standard flies above when the monarch is in residence, the Union Jack otherwise. Coloring page showing the symmetric front facade with the Victoria Memorial column in the foreground.
