Brandenburg Gate coloring page
The Brandenburg Gate is the most iconic landmark in Berlin, built between 1788 and 1791 and modeled on the Propylaea entrance to the Acropolis in Athens. Twelve Doric columns — six in front and six behind — support the 26-meter-tall structure, topped by the Quadriga, a copper statue of the goddess Victoria driving a chariot pulled by four horses. The gate stood in no-man's-land between East and West Berlin during the Cold War and reopened in 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down, making it a lasting symbol of German reunification.
