Stingray coloring page
Stingrays are flat cartilaginous fish closely related to sharks, with around 220 species spread across coastal waters worldwide. Most rest on the sea floor partly buried in sand. The venomous spine on the tail is a defensive weapon, not used in hunting — stingrays eat clams, oysters, crabs, and small fish that they crush with flat teeth. The giant freshwater stingray of Southeast Asia is the largest recorded freshwater fish, reaching 5 metres in total length including the tail.
