Sloth

Sloths are slow-moving mammals from the rainforests of Central and South America. They spend almost their entire lives hanging upside down in trees, moving so slowly that algae grows in their fur and gives it a greenish tint. They sleep up to 20 hours a day and only descend to the ground about once a week to relieve themselves. The slow metabolism makes them poor at escaping predators, so camouflage is their main defense.
