American Pit Bull Terrier
The American Pit Bull Terrier traces back to 19th-century crosses between British bulldogs and terriers, brought to the United States in the 1870s and once known as the All-American Dog. Petey from the Our Gang short films (1922-1944) was a famous pit bull who helped cement the breed's image as the friendly American family dog. Adult weight runs 14-30 kilograms.
