Jellyfish

Jellyfish have drifted through the oceans for over 500 million years — older than dinosaurs, sharks, and even trees. They have no brain, no heart, and no bones, and their bodies are about 95 percent water. Stinging cells called nematocysts on the tentacles fire microscopic harpoons faster than almost any motion in nature. The lion's mane jellyfish has tentacles that can reach 36 meters — longer than a blue whale. One species, Turritopsis dohrnii, can revert to its juvenile stage and is considered biologically immortal. Coloring page of a jellyfish with flowing tentacles drifting through open water.
